INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WET OR DAMP USE:
The Glass cloth works best just slightly dampened with water. Either sprinkle water on the entire cloth or wet half the cloth. In most cases there is no need to wipe the surface dry after the cloth has been used, as evaporation enables surfaces to air-dry to a lint and streak-free shine. You can also spray water directly on the surface to be cleaned and wipe with a dry cloth.
(Note: if water marks appear, the cloth may have been too dirty or wet).
TO CLEAN THE CLOTH:
To improve the lifespan of the Tergo cloths, it is necessary to wash them on a regular basis. For quick cleaning after use, simply hand wash in hot water, or use a very small amount of dish or laundry detergent. Do not use hand soap as it contains oil. Be sure to rinse well. Wash the cloths in the washing machine, when required, in hot water with your normal load. Either air or tumble-dry, up to 90 degrees. Do this when required or whenever the cloth looks soiled. Periodically boil the cloths in water for a few minutes on your stovetop. This disinfects and causes the fibers to swell releasing trapped grease and dirt. Tergo cloths can be machine washed over 600 times (lasting several years), and are guaranteed for a year, (with proper care).
Important: The Tergo cloths should not be ironed, nor washed with conditioner/fabric softener or dryer softener sheets, as it would reduce the cloth's static electricity! (Boil the cloth to remove any residue, if fabric softener is used). Avoid washing in a load with terry towels, unless you put them in a mesh bag for delicates to prevent lint build up. The cloth should not be used with stainable materials such as paints and inks. It's best to use enviro-safe detergent if possible. DO NOT USE CHLORINE BLEACH or abrasive solutions for cleaning or washing. This will shorten the life span of the cloth.
